Sorry to hear that Clemson Coach Tommy Bowden got his pink slip today, although the decision was made Friday! I wanted Carolina to be able to hand him his final blow, but I guess Dabo will have to do! Losing to Wake Forrest wasn't his fault, the whole team lost that game! They were just medium-low on the grid-iron. They needed a good fire lit up under their tails!  SO! Onward to LSU - we can beat those guys and give Florida a bad feeling when we sink em in the swamp!

Tommy Bowden resigned effective immediately at the request of President Bush.
 
Bowden will now become the head of FEMA.
 
Bush said that he was impressed by the way Bowden evacuated 80,000 people from Tiger Stadium last Saturday in less than an hour.

Spurrier gave Stephen Garcia the chance he needed to show he can be a PLAY MAKER!  Trouble with Spurrier is that they want the QB to run the play by what the coach said! So going ad hoc and running when there's no pass can make the Coach's hat fly! He sure did a good job as LEADING RUSHER against a really aggressive defense. That could have been a real loser game if we had not put the big surprise QB in! Hopefully Garcia will REALLY SHOW OLE MISS what we were MISSIN!
